Kinematics collaborated with Swiss artist Vinzenz Meyner for his art in architecture commission “Memories”: Monumental concrete reliefs spanning seven floors of the staircase of St. Gallen’s new cantonal hospital. A custom hotwire-cutting system for collaborative robots was developed and used to produce over 60 unique styrofoam positives. These were turned into silicone molds used for concrete casting of the hospital’s staircases.
